Missy and I were married in 2015 and I can say with certainty we’re the textbook definition of a dynamic duo. Our drive and passion for everything we do, both personally and professionally, never fail to result in success.

As a team, we bring decades of experience, both within and beyond the industry. We both have a deep-rooted enthusiasm for design and detail, but most of all, for creating high quality renovations for people to love long after their house becomes their home.

We currently reside in Davidson, NC with our daughters Madeline and Austyn. Our girls are our heart, and we spend all of our free time ensuring they are happy, healthy and knowing how much they are loved. It is our intent that Two Chicks Homes will be theirs to carry forward into the future.

Founded in 2020, Two Chicks Homes is a boutique, fully licensed and insured custom design and remodeling company. Specializing in additions, kitchens, bathrooms, full home renovations, and so much more, there is no limit to our expertise. We are experienced, detail oriented, General Contractors who promise quality work, dedication to customer service, and honest estimates. At Two Chicks Homes, our mission is to make your vision come true and to create a space for you and your loved ones to enjoy for years to come.

Co-Founder | Managing Partner

Ashley Maylott

Ashley’s professional career spans nearly 20 years where she held the position of Senior Project Manager with AdvantaClean, an environmental service franchise who focuses on making homes safe, clean, healthy and energy efficient. Ashley played a critical role in leading and implementing numerous projects across technology, operations, marketing, training and communications. She also simultaneously owned and operated an AdvantaClean franchise, assisting countless homeowners in her local community.

From that passion and 20-year commitment to excellence, her exit from AdvantaClean presented her with the opportunity to begin her next great adventure as President and Co-Founder of Two Chicks Homes. Ashley fosters an environment of professionalism and teamwork which ensures every project she manages leaves a mark of excellence.

Ashley attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a BA in Psychology.

Co-Founder | Managing Partner

Missy Maylott

Originally from Canada, Missy’s background is in banking and finance. She currently holds the role of VP – Construction Officer helping clients from all over the country with their commercial renovation needs and ground up construction for their business. Missy is adaptable to change and has excellent communication skills, stopping at nothing to fulfil a customer’s needs. Her ethical standards and business acumen are second to none in the industry, and she will go above and beyond to ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction.

In addition to her banking experience, Missy was a former partner of Maybayne Properties, an investment firm specializing in home repairs and renovations where she cut her teeth on home renovations in the early 2000’s. From there, she became a NC Real Estate Advisor, Investment Property Broker, and Residential Real Estate Rehabilitation Specialist.

Missy's creative vision and countless contacts in the rehab and home improvement industry is taking Two Chicks Homes to the next level. Her commitment to both personal and professional relationships rivals any, and once you meet her, you’ll quickly understand why most everyone she meets becomes a lifelong friend.

Missy attended Mars Hill College and holds a BS in Wildlife/ Biology and Outdoor Recreation Resource Management.

Chief Operating Officer | COO

Scott Brown

Scott Brown is a huge asset to the Two Chicks team, managing the building side and handling some cost estimating, permitting, and a lot of other fun stuff. He is also a North Carolina General Contractor.

Scott brings with him a wealth of knowledge. After performing sales and operations management in the electrical supply industry for 14 years, he pursued a career in disaster restoration and project management. Scott was with AdvantaClean for 22 years in various positions from project management to regional sales coaching.

In addition to his GC License, he holds certifications as a NADCA Air Systems Cleaning Specialist, Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor Certificate, CMR, CMI, FSRT, OCT, and is OSHA Certified. He is well traveled and has provided project coordination and supervision for many large commercial, industrial, and governmental properties nationwide.

General Manager

Katie Moore

Katie Moore is a seasoned software and tech customer success and project management expert. She brings over 20 years of experience driving positive customer outcomes, and in her most recent role as Director of Professional Services for a digital signage software company, she worked on special projects with the likes of Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Google, and Milwaukee Tool.

Armed with a BSBA in Finance and Economics from UNC Charlotte, Katie has earned accolades voted by her peers such as "Coach of the Year" and the "Cool Under Pressure" award for her exceptional leadership and problem-solving abilities. Throughout her career, Katie has honed her skills in streamlining processes, always asking the questions “how do we make this easier” and “how do we make this repeatable”?

Inspired by Two Chicks Homes' commitment to quality craftsmanship and community impact, Katie is thrilled to step into the role of General Manager. With her at the helm of any project, expect continued excellence and a steadfast dedication to exceeding customer expectations.

Senior Project Manager

Israel Enriquez

Israel has been a part of Two Chicks since the beginning where he managed many large interior and exterior paint projects for us. His attention to detail and overall work-site management skills are second-to-none and we are so excited he's a part of our permanent team!

Israel oversees planning and execution, including the project schedules, scope, and quality control.

He also manages subcontractors, ensures the job site is safe and clean, handles any issues that may arise and ensures the customer is happy with the end product.

If you are a Two Chicks customer, you will see and interact with him frequently on your projects, and we know you'll think just as highly of him as we do!

Construction Manager

Caludio Ortez

Claudio Ortez brings a decade of hands-on experience in the construction industry to his role as Construction Manager at Two Chicks Homes. His expertise spans carpentry, cabinet installation, painting, drywall, and comprehensive site management.

Before embarking on his construction career, Claudio was a high school Science and Chemistry teacher in his home country of Honduras. Married for 5 years, Claudio enjoys singing, playing soccer, and spending quality time with his family when he's not overseeing construction projects.

Lead Carpenter

Mike Edwards

Mike is a skilled carpenter with three years of experience at Two Chicks Homes. Known for his exceptional attention to detail, Mike is proficient in all aspects of carpentry work. Focusing on the intricate details that add aesthetic value and functionality to a structure, Mike pays close attention to precision and craftsmanship in his work.

His expertise also extends to bathrooms, kitchens and tile setting, an art at which he excels. His eye for design and attention to detail is second to none. From demo, to cabinetry, to fixtures, electrical and plumbing, Mike is one of the best when it comes to a bathroom or kitchen project.

Whether it's intricate trim work or flawless tile installations, Mike can do it all with precision and expertise. Customers admire Mike for his craftsmanship and dedication to delivering high-quality results, making him a valuable asset to the team at Two Chicks Homes.

Mauricio is a visionary Team Lead with an exceptional talent for tile, flooring installation, and trim carpentry.

With an innate eye for design and an unwavering attention to detail, Mauricio's customer-centric approach fosters meaningful client interactions, earning him the admiration of both colleagues and clients.
